A man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious stabbing in Greenwich, South East London, on Tuesday evening (27 May 2025).
Man Charged After Violent Attack in Greenwich
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Jaheim Nyende-Horsford, 20, of Banning Street, Greenwich, has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident.
At around 8:00 PM, officers were called to the Christchurch Way / Derwent Street area, following reports of a male victim suffering serious stab wounds.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Nyende-Horsford was arrested shortly after the incident and has since been charged. He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court in the coming days.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“We are asking the public for assistance. If you saw or heard anything suspicious near Christchurch Way or Derwent Street at around 8pm on Tuesday, please contact us immediately.”
