A serious collision involving two vehicles has led to the closure of the A12 southbound between Junction 16 (Galleywood Interchange) and Junction 15 (Webb’s Farm Interchange) this morning in Essex.
The incident occurred during peak hours, prompting a swift response from Essex Police, the East of England Ambulance Service, and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, who remain at the scene.
Diversion Route in Place
Motorists are advised to exit the A12 at Junction 19 (Boreham) and follow this signed diversion:

A130 through Chelmsford

Take the second exit at the A130/A1016 roundabout

Continue along the A1016 to the A414 roundabout

Second exit onto A414 to rejoin the A12 at Junction 15 (Webb’s Farm Interchange)
Drivers are urged to follow the diversion signage on road, even though no official diversion symbol is in place.
