A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a serious altercation in Hackney this morning that has led to two arrests for attempted murder.
Critical Injuries Following Morning Assault
Metropolitan Police were called to Ridley Road, Hackney, at approximately 7.40am on Wednesday, 21 May, after reports of a violent confrontation. Officers attended the scene alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics.
A 52-year-old man was found with serious injuries and was transported to hospital, where his condition has been assessed as critical. Police say they are awaiting further updates from medical staff.
Two Men in Custody
Two men, aged 32 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Both suspects remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
A crime scene remains cordoned off at Ridley Road, and forensic officers are examining the area.
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or has relevant information or footage, to come forward.
