Emergency services rushed to the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC) on Crofton Road today, where one person had to be extricated from a vehicle following a crash.
London Fire Brigade crews from Orpington and Bromley stations were joined by Croydon’s Fire Rescue Unit (FRU) to assist at the scene. Crews worked in coordination with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to safely remove a trapped occupant from the vehicle.
A spokesperson confirmed:
“One person was extricated by fire crews and taken into the care of paramedics. Fortunately, the injuries sustained do not appear to be life-threatening.”
Firefighters used specialist equipment to carry out the extrication, which was completed swiftly and efficiently thanks to the joint response.
The cause of the crash has not been made public, and there were no reports of other vehicles or persons involved.
