A man has tragically died following an incident at a park in Charlton this morning.
Emergency services were called to Maryon Wilson Park, located on Thorntree Road, shortly before 8.40am on Tuesday, May 20, after reports of an incident involving a male.
The London Ambulance Service dispatched multiple units, including an ambulance crew, a fast response paramedic, and an incident response officer.
Despite receiving treatment at the scene, the man sadly died a short time later.
Nature of Incident Unclear
At this stage, the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unknown. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further details and confirmation of whether any investigation has been launched.
Statement from London Ambulance Service
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 8.38am this morning (20 May) to reports of an incident in Maryon Wilson Park, Charlton.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“Despite the efforts of the team to save his life, a patient sadly died at the scene.”
The man’s identity has not yet been released, and it is not yet known whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
