A 10-year-old boy reported missing in Dover has reportedly been found dead in the sea, according to early eyewitness reports.
Police were called to the scene at a jetty in Dover after a man standing near the water allegedly spotted a human head floating and immediately contacted authorities.
The shocking discovery comes amid an ongoing search operation for a boy who was last seen over the weekend. While the body has not yet been formally identified, sources at the scene claim it may be linked to a missing child report issued in Dover earlier this week.
Witness Statement
A local witness told UKNIP:
“A random man who was standing at the jetty looking out spotted what appeared to be a head in the water and called police straight away. Police were there very quickly.”
Police Response
Kent Police have not yet officially confirmed the identity of the body, but have been approached for comment. Officers are believed to have cordoned off the area while emergency services begin recovery operations.
As of 8:00 PM on Monday, forensic and dive teams remain on scene, and a police tent has been erected at the jetty.
Ongoing Investigation
While the situation remains fluid, Kent Police are expected to release a formal statement shortly. At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained, and next of kin are being informed.
