Police in Bury St Edmunds have launched an urgent public appeal following a disturbing incident on Mount Road near Tassel Road on Sunday 11 May 2025.
At approximately 9:45pm, a member of the public reported seeing a struggle between a man and a woman, during which the woman appeared distressed.
When officers arrived, there was no trace of either individual, and no victims have since come forward, raising concern for the woman’s welfare.
Police Urge Public Help to Identify Those Involved
Detective Inspector Cat Thompson, leading the investigation for West CID, said:
“We are taking this incident seriously. While it may be a misunderstanding, we cannot rule out that someone may have been harmed. We’re asking anyone who saw anything unusual in the Mount Road area between 9:30pm and 10:00pm to please come forward.”
The woman involved is described only as having long, light-coloured hair. No other identifying details have yet been confirmed.
