Police rushed to the junction of Maygrove Road and Kilburn High Road, NW6, on Monday, 5 May at 4:58pm, after reports of an altercation between two men ended in one man being sprayed with a suspected corrosive substance.

39-Year-Old Victim Treated at the Scene

Officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics, who treated a 39-year-old man suffering injuries from a substance believed to be PAVA spray or pepper spray.

Thankfully, the victim did not require hospital treatment. His injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening.

No Arrests Yet as Police Investigation Continues

Despite a rapid response from emergency services, no arrests have been made at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the individual involved in the attack.

A Met Police spokesperson urged anyone with information or witnesses to come forward, stressing that such reckless use of corrosive substances in public spaces would be taken seriously.

Kilburn residents and businesses are being encouraged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to authorities.
