Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision (RTC) at the junction of Crown Street and Dagenham Road at approximately 5:30pm on Saturday, 3 May 2025.
Reports indicated that persons were possibly trapped in vehicles following the collision.
Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade, police, and paramedics responded to the three vehicle collision.
The incident prompted full road closures in both directions near St Giles Avenue, severely affecting traffic flow throughout the Dagenham area.
Public transport services were impacted, with Route 145 towards Leytonstone significantly disrupted. Buses were diverted along Ballards Road, Rainham Road South, Oxlow Lane, Heathway, and Hedgemans Road.
Authorities later confirmed that Siviter Way, which was also affected by the crash, was cleared and reopened at around 10:27pm on Saturday evening.
Investigations into the cause of the collision remain ongoing, and no official details regarding injuries have been released at this time.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the extensive emergency response and cleanup operations.
