A murder investigation is underway after a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Mile End, east London.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Pickard Gardens at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, April 30, following reports of a stabbing.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance, attended the scene, but despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder after receiving hospital treatment for his injuries. He remains in police custody.
Initially, three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 25-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman were also detained but have since been released with no further action. The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital, and her condition remains unknown at this time.

Police Appeal for Information
Commander James Conway, who oversees policing for Tower Hamlets and Hackney, said:
This was a tragic incident with a devastating impact on the family involved. Our thoughts are with those affected.
We believe that those arrested and injured were all known to the man who died.
Local officers, supported by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, will be present in the area to provide reassurance.
Commander Conway urged anyone with information to contact police by dialing 101 and quoting CAD3908/30APR, or to report anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place in due course. Formal identification of the deceased is pending.
