Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fire that destroyed several minibuses at the Silk Mills Park & Ride in Taunton.
The incident, which occurred yesterday, caused significant damage to vehicles used to transport people with disabilities and schoolchildren. Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who has relevant footage to come forward.
In a statement released on social media, a police spokesperson said:
“We need witnesses and dashcam footage after a fire at Silk Mills Park & Ride, Taunton, which destroyed minibuses used by people with disabilities and schoolchildren.”

Despite the disruption, officials have confirmed that both the Park & Ride and school transport services are expected to operate as normal tomorrow, though passengers are advised to check updates from @TravelSomerset before travelling.
