Emergency Services Respond to incident near Christ the King Sixth Form College in Sidcup

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a serious collision outside Christ the King Sixth Form College on Chislehurst Road, Sidcup, after two vehicles were involved in a crash that also damaged a nearby lamp post. The incident occurred just after 2:00 PM on Thursday, 24 April 2025.

Initial reports indicated that occupants may have been trapped inside one or more of the vehicles following the impact.  Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade were dispatched alongside police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Possible Casualties and Road Closures

The extent of any injuries has not yet been confirmed, and it remains unclear how many individuals were involved. However, eyewitnesses reported fire crews using hydraulic tools to access at least one of the vehicles.

Chislehurst Road remains partially closed near the college as emergency services continue their operation, causing significant traffic delays in the surrounding area.

We have reached out the London Ambulance service and the Met Police for statements.

 

A spokesman for the Met Police said Officers were called at 14:33hrs on Thursday, 24 April to Chislehurst Road, Sidcup following a collision involving two vehicles.

Emergency services remain on scene and the road is currently closed.’
