Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious assault in Chatham that left a man in his 20s with stab wounds.
Emergency services were called to Chatham Hill at around 1.55pm on Sunday, 20 April 2025, after reports of a man found injured. Officers from Kent Police and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where the victim was treated for injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was transported to hospital for further care and has since been discharged.
Two Arrested, One Charged
Later that day, a black Audi A1 believed to be connected to the incident was stopped in Gravesend. Two men were arrested in connection with the attack.
Djorn Anderson, 22, of Longwood Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has since been charged with wounding with intent. He also faces multiple driving offences, including driving while disqualified, driving without a valid licence, and driving without insurance.
Anderson appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 April, and was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 19 May.
A second man, aged 22 and from London, was conditionally bailed pending further investigation and is required to return to the police station on 16 July.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Detectives are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the black Audi A1 acting suspiciously in the Chatham Hill area to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to drivers with dashcam footage and residents with private CCTV systems who may have captured crucial evidence before or during the incident.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said:
“We are progressing with our investigation but believe there may still be witnesses or those with footage who have not yet spoken to officers. We urge anyone who saw the incident or the vehicle involved to get in touch as soon as possible.”
