A man has been charged following a serious assault in Chatham that left a victim in his 20s with stab wounds.
Kent Police were called to Chatham Hill at around 1.55pm on Sunday, 20 April, after reports of an injured man. Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance crews, responded to the scene and found the victim suffering from injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Later that day, officers stopped a vehicle in Gravesend and arrested two men in connection with the incident.
One of the suspects, Djorn Anderson, 22, of Longwood Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, has now been charged with wounding with intent. He also faces charges of driving while disqualified, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.
Anderson appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 22 April), where he was remanded in custody.
A second man, also aged 22 and from London, remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
