Wiltshire Police have launched an appeal for information following a burglary attempt at an electronics warehouse in Swindon.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning (18 April) at a business premises on Faraday Road, Dorcan, with the break-in believed to have taken place between 12:20am and 2:00am.
According to police, three suspects are thought to have used industrial equipment to drill large holes in the back wall of the building in an apparent effort to gain access. Officers say significant amounts of brick, metal, and insulation were bored through in what appears to have been a planned operation.
The business had taken in a large delivery of stock at 4pm the previous day, but nothing was stolen in the attempted burglary. Investigators are now working to determine whether the delivery was linked to the timing of the break-in.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:
“This was a serious and determined attempt to gain access to the premises using specialist equipment. Fortunately, nothing was taken on this occasion, but we are keen to identify those responsible and prevent future incidents.”
