A murder investigation has been launched after a violent attack inside a home in Brighton left one man dead and two others seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to Hartfield Avenue shortly before 7:30 am following reports of a man going “berserk” inside the property. Upon arrival, officers found a 57-year-old man suffering from significant injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two Others Injured
A woman and a boy were also found inside the house with serious injuries. Both were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Arrest Made
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Sussex Police have stated that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Chief Superintendent Rachel Carr, Divisional Commander for Sussex Police, said:
Following an emergency call to police, an immediate response was sent to Hartfield Avenue, where sadly, a man was found deceased, and a woman and child were found seriously injured.
A suspect is in custody, and a fast-moving investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened and why. This is a tragic incident, and we understand it will cause shock and alarm among the local community. However, there is not believed to be a wider threat to the public at this time.”
