Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a significant property fire on Bruce Road in East London after receiving multiple calls reporting large flames and explosions this evening.
The London Fire Brigade have sent six fire engines and around 40 firefighters to the scene following reports of a blaze engulfing a property, with flames visibly shooting from the rear garden and spreading to the rear three floors of the town house.
Witnesses in the area described hearing a series of explosions, with one neighbor claiming that a gas cylinder had exploded.
The intense fire and loud bangs have left residents shaken, with many gathering outside to assess the situation as emergency crews work to bring the fire under control.

A source at the scene for London Fire Brigade stated, “We received numerous calls regarding a fire at a residential property in East London. Crews arrived promptly and are currently tackling the blaze.
The cause of the fire, as well as the reported explosions, is under investigation.”
Police have cordoned off the area, urging the public to avoid the vicinity to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely.
There are no immediate reports of injuries, but fire crews remain on the scene as the situation develops.
