Emergency services are currently responding to a serious incident at Ickenham Underground Station on the Metropolitan Line after reports of a person under a train.
The incident occurred on the eastbound platform of the Metropolitan Line at around 11pm on Friday 29th March 2025. The station, located on Glebe Avenue, Ickenham, has been cordoned off as emergency crews assess the situation.
Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that there are significant disruptions on the Metropolitan Line, with services suspended between Uxbridge and Harrow-on-the-Hill while the incident is being managed. Passengers are being advised to use alternative routes and check for updates before traveling.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing multiple emergency vehicles outside the station, including paramedics, fire crews, and British Transport Police officers.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said:
“We are currently on scene at Ickenham Underground Station following reports of a person under a train on the eastbound Metropolitan Line platform. Emergency services are working to respond to the incident, and the station has been closed as a precaution. We will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.”
Commuters are being advised to avoid the area, and those planning to travel through Ickenham are urged to seek alternative public transport options.
TfL is working closely with emergency services to manage the situation and minimize disruption to other parts of the network.
