Emergency services have been called to a property on Eastcote Road in Welling following reports of a house fire and anĀ number of reported explosion. The incident occurred just after 9 pm on Friday evening, prompting a significant emergency response.
Numerous fire crews from Welling and nearby stations with the London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene. Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang before seeing flames and smoke billowing from the property.
The cause of the fire is believed to be related to a cigarette, and it is understood that a number of explosions in the rear garden were caused by small compressed gas canisters used in BB and air guns. No one is understood to have been hurt, and the main damage is to decking in the rear of the property.
