A man has been arrested after police stopped a Citroen in the Stafford area due to poor driving and discovered a cache of weapons and drugs inside the vehicle.
Officers from Staffordshire Police pulled over the car after noticing erratic driving. Upon conducting checks, it was revealed that the driver had no valid licence or insurance.
Search Uncovers Weapons and Drugs
During a search of the vehicle, officers found various weapons and illegal substances, which were immediately seized. The police have not yet specified the types of weapons or drugs recovered.
The driver was arrested at the scene and taken into custody for driving without a licence and insurance, as well as possession of offensive weapons and controlled substances.
A police spokesperson said:
“The Citroen was stopped due to a poor standard of driving. Checks revealed the driver had no licence and no insurance. During a vehicle search, multiple weapons and drugs were discovered and seized. The driver has been dealt with accordingly.”

The investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the weapons and drugs, and the suspect remains in police custody.
