Brookshill in Harrow Weald has been closed in both directions this evening following a serious multi-vehicle collision involving a school coach, a van, and five cars. Emergency services responded swiftly to the incident, which occurred at approximately 3:42pm.
A significant emergency services presence remains at the scene, including crews from the London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and Metropolitan Police. Bus route 258 is currently affected due to the road closure.
Four People Taken to Hospital
In a statement, a London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed:
“We were called at 3.42pm today (28 March) to reports of a road traffic collision on Brookshill, Harrow.
We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and a paramedic in a fast response car.
We treated three patients at the scene and a fourth patient at Oxhey Lane before taking them all to hospital.”
The conditions of those injured have not been made public at this stage, and it is not yet known if any children on the school coach were among those harmed.
The crash occurred near a local school, prompting heightened concern among parents and residents. Witnesses described multiple vehicles severely damaged and emergency crews working rapidly to extract individuals from the wreckage.
The school coach, which was confirmed to have been carrying passengers at the time of the collision, was among the worst-affected vehicles.
A large police cordon remains in place while collision investigators assess the scene. Traffic is being diverted and commuters are being urged to avoid the area while the operation continues.

The Metropolitan Police have launched a full investigation into the cause of the crash. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.
