woman has been taken to hospital following a collision in Walthamstow this morning.
The incident occurred just after 10.40am on Markhouse Road, near Ringwood Road, on Thursday, March 28. Emergency services, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene where the injured woman was found.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to hospital as a priority. The woman’s current condition has not yet been disclosed.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.41am today (28 March) to reports of a road traffic collision on Markhouse Road, Walthamstow. We sent an ambulance crew and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene. We treated a woman at the scene and took her to hospital as a priority.”
Due to the incident, Markhouse Road is currently closed both ways between Ringwood Road and St James Street, near South Grove. Several bus routes, including the 58, 158, and W19, are on diversion while authorities deal with the situation.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and allow extra time for their journeys.
