A teenage girl has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a fail-to-stop traffic collision in Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire, on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly after 4:45pm on Bradley Stoke Way, near the Willow Brook Shopping Centre, when a motorbike struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.
Emergency services responded quickly, and the girl was taken to hospital, where she remains under medical care. Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that her family has been informed.
The busy roadway was temporarily closed while officers conducted an initial investigation but has since been reopened to traffic.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal to Identify Rider
Authorities are now appealing to the public to help trace the motorcyclist responsible. Police have released an image of a rider dressed in black with a white helmet, captured on Bradley Stoke Way heading towards Aztec West, shortly after the incident.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said:
"We are releasing an image of a motorcycle rider we wish to speak to in connection with our enquiries. The investigation is ongoing, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured relevant dashcam or CCTV footage."
