A crackdown on Class A drug supply in Medway has led to the arrest and charging of three suspected drug dealers, following a series of proactive enforcement operations carried out by Kent Police.
On Wednesday 12 March 2025, officers investigating the supply of cocaine and heroin in the area stopped Lascell McKenzie in Cazeneuve Street, Rochester. A search of the suspect led to the seizure of four wraps of crack cocaine, a knife, and a mobile phone. McKenzie was arrested and taken into custody, where a further 40 individual drug deals were recovered.
In a separate operation, officers attended an address near Delce Road, Rochester, where a man and a woman were detained. Police seized a large bag containing crack cocaine and suspected heroin from the property.
As a result of the investigation:
- Lascell McKenzie, 30, of Rochester Avenue, has been charged with:
- Being concerned in the supply of heroin
- Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply
- Possession of a bladed article in a public place
- Lisa Jarvis, 54, and Denne Stephenson, 60, both of St Peter Street, Rochester, have been charged with:
- Being concerned in the supply of heroin
- Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
All three appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13 March. McKenzie pleaded guilty to all charges and has been remanded in custody for sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 April.
Ms Jarvis was released on bail, while Mr Stephenson was remanded in custody. Both are due to appear at the same crown court hearing as McKenzie.
