A murder investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing outside a KFC restaurant on Brixton Road, SW9, in the early hours of Thursday morning (20 March).
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at approximately 5:10am after reports of a man suffering from stab injuries. Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service crews, but despite their best efforts, the victim — believed to be a man in his 30s — was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and a crime scene remains in place as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, and police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.

A murder investigation is under way following the stabbing of a man in Brixton Road, SW9. Officers responded at around 05:10hrs on Thursday, 20 March. A man in his 30s was found with stab wounds and, sadly, was pronounced dead at the scene. One man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. A crime scene remains in place as investigations continue.
Police are urging anyone with information, dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
