A high-end Bentley has been seized by police after it was spotted travelling at speed in the Walsall area — only for officers to discover the driver had no valid licence.
The vehicle was intercepted by officers from the D-Unit ANPR Interceptors during proactive patrols. After pulling the car over, police conducted checks and confirmed that the driver did not hold a valid driving licence.
As a result, the driver was reported for document offences and the vehicle was seized under police powers.
A spokesperson for the D-Unit said:
“This Bentley was seen travelling at speed in the Walsall area. After speaking with the driver, it was confirmed they didn’t hold a valid driving licence.
The driver has now been reported for document offences and the vehicle has been seized.”
The incident highlights the ongoing work by traffic enforcement teams using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to target unsafe and illegal drivers on the region’s roads.
Police continue to urge motorists to ensure they meet all legal driving requirements before getting behind the wheel.
