Police have launched an investigation following a stabbing incident in Tadworth, which left a man in his 30s injured and requiring hospital treatment.
Officers were called to Devizes Road near Beatrice Square at 6.22pm on Tuesday, March 18, after reports of a serious assault in the area. The South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
The victim was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police have confirmed.
A 27-year-old man from Tadworth has since been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.
No Risk to Wider Public
In a statement, Surrey Police said:
“We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident, and we do not believe there to be any risk to the wider public.”
Officers have reassured residents that a visible police presence will continue in the area today as enquiries continue.
“We understand that the public may be distressed by this incident, and there will be a continued police presence in the area. Please speak to officers if you have any concerns,” the force added.
