Three people have been arrested in connection with a robbery in Chadwell Heath, after police swiftly responded to reports and intercepted the suspects at a nearby train station.
Officers were called at 17:14hrs on Monday, 17 March, following reports of a robbery on Selinas Lane.
Police responded quickly and located the suspects aboard a train at Chadwell Heath Station. The trio — an 18-year-old man [A], a 20-year-old man [B], and a 16-year-old girl [C] — were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
The 18-year-old male was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, after allegedly injuring an officer while resisting arrest.
All three have been taken to an east London police station, where they currently remain in custody.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the incident and urged anyone with information to come forward.
