A man has been arrested following a disruptive incident at Terminal 1 of Dublin Airport this morning, after reportedly missing his flight and damaging airport property in a fit of rage.
The incident occurred at approximately 07:20am at Gate 107 on Pier 1, where multiple videos and images shared online captured the man damaging gate infrastructure and behaving aggressively.
Witnesses said the man appeared to lash out in frustration after being denied boarding for his flight. Within minutes, airport police responded to the scene and detained the individual without further disruption.
Gate Temporarily Out of Service
As a result of the damage, Gate 107 has been taken out of service, with airport authorities confirming it will remain unavailable for an unspecified period of time while repairs and assessments are carried out.
An airport spokesperson said:
“We can confirm that an individual was arrested this morning at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 following a disturbance at Gate 107. The situation was quickly brought under control by airport police. Gate 107 will remain out of service pending maintenance.”

Passengers in the area at the time were temporarily diverted, but no injuries were reported, and operations in the rest of the terminal continued as normal.
