A man has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Cambridge Heath on Sunday night (16 March).
Emergency services were called to Hackney Road, E2, at around 9:30pm, after receiving reports of a road traffic collision.
According to the London Ambulance Service (LAS), multiple units were dispatched to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a paramedic from the tactical response unit.
Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles involved in the crash, with five people having exited the vehicles prior to the arrival of emergency responders.
One man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has not yet been confirmed.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 9.30pm on Sunday 16 March to reports of a road traffic collision on Hackney Road, E2.
We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and a paramedic from our tactical response unit.
We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital.”
In addition to ambulance teams, firefighters from the London Fire Brigade also attended the incident to assist with the response and ensure the area was safe.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. Further updates are expected from local authorities as more information becomes available.
