Drivers are being urged to expect delays and plan ahead after a serious collision on the A27 westbound resulted in a full carriageway closure between the A293 (Portslade) and the A270 (Shoreham) near the Southwick Tunnel.

As a result of the collision, traffic is being diverted via a Hollow Triangle diversion route:
- Exit the A27 at the Hangleton Interchange onto the A293 southbound.
- Continue to the junction with the A270, then head westbound.
- Rejoin the A27 at the Holmbush Interchange.
