A suspected burglar has been swiftly arrested by police in Dartford following a break-in at a High Street business early on Wednesday morning (12 March 2025).
Kent Police were called to the scene at 7.52am after reports that a man had entered a business premises before opening hours and stolen money from the till.
According to reports, members of the public intervened and managed to restrain the suspect until officers arrived.
A 48-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary and a public order offence. He has since been taken into custody, where he remains while enquiries continue.
A police spokesperson said:
“We would like to thank members of the public for their quick response and assistance in this incident. Their actions helped ensure the swift detention of the suspect.”
