Specialist forensic officers have been called in to a property in Axeminster Cresent in Welling, where Metropolitan Police continue to carry out an intensive top-to-bottom search as part of a major ongoing investigation on a missing mum of two 54-year-old Nazire Koreli.
Authorities confirmed that Kastle-Meyer (KM) testing — a chemical technique used to identify the presence of blood — is being employed at the address as detectives scour the premises for additional evidence.
The Kastle-Meyer test, commonly used in forensic science, involves a reagent that reacts with hemoglobin in blood to produce a visible pink colour, allowing investigators to determine whether blood traces are present, even if not visible to the naked eye.
Property Under Full Forensic Examination
The property, located in a quiet residential street in Welling, remains sealed off by police cordons, with crime scene investigators in full forensic suits seen entering and exiting the house throughout the day.
According to neighbours, forensic teams arrived early this on Monday monring and began examining walls, floors, furniture and outdoor areas, including the garden and drains. Officers have also removed a doorbell camera from the property, believed to be part of the evidential review.
One resident said:
“We’ve never seen anything like this here. The officers are going through everything — it’s clear they’re leaving no stone unturned.
