A targeted policing operation over the weekend led to multiple arrests across Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge as part of the MSCSurge initiative.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police carried out proactive stops, resulting in arrests for a range of offences, including:
- Possession with intent to supply drugs
- Obstructing a drugs search
- Non-fatal strangulation and assault
- Failing to attend court (wanted individual)
In addition to these arrests, fines were issued for possession of drugs, public order offences, and driving violations.
The MSCSurge initiative aims to disrupt criminal activity through increased police visibility and proactive enforcement. Officers have urged the public to report any suspicious activity, reinforcing their commitment to tackling crime in the boroughs.
