Firefighters tackled an agricultural vehicle fire in East Farleigh, Maidstone, during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Firefighters Respond to Forklift Blaze
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) were called to reports of a forklift on fire along Heath Road at approximately 4am Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used a high-pressure hose reel jet to bring the blaze under control. The fire was successfully extinguished by 5.24am.
Cause and Safety Precautions
Investigators believe the fire was caused by a faulty fuel supply. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities are urging vehicle owners, particularly those operating agricultural machinery, to conduct regular maintenance checks to prevent similar incidents.
