A man and a woman have been taken to hospital following a serious crash at the junction of Romford Road and Green Street in Newham this afternoon.
Emergency Response
London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed they were called to the scene at 2:58 PM and dispatched two ambulance crews to assist the injured parties. Both individuals were treated at the scene before being rushed to a local hospital as a priority.
A spokesperson for LAS stated:
“We were called at 2.58pm on Thursday, 6 March to a road traffic collision at the junction of Romford Road and Green Street, Newham. We sent two ambulance crews to the scene who treated a man and a woman before taking them to a local hospital as a priority.”
Road Closures and Investigation
Romford Road was temporarily closed while emergency crews dealt with the incident. The road has since reopened to traffic.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of the injuries sustained by the victims. Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further information regarding the cause of the crash and whether any arrests have been made.
