47-Year-Old Victim Miraculously Survives as Investigation Continues
Dramatic CCTV footage has captured the terrifying moment a pedestrian was struck by a car and flung through the air while crossing a road in Forest Gate, London.
The incident happened on Katherine Road at around 4:09 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025.
Video Shows Horror Collision
- The 47-year-old man was seen checking both directions before stepping onto the road.
- Suddenly, a black car appeared at speed, ploughing into the victim.
- Stunned bystanders watched in horror as the man was sent somersaulting through the air before crashing to the ground.
- The car came to a screeching halt, and the driver was seen opening their door to check on the man.
Miraculous Survival and Ongoing Investigation
Despite the horrific nature of the collision, police confirmed the man only suffered minor injuries and is in a stable condition.
Police Statement and Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were alerted at 16:09 hrs on Friday, 7 March, to an incident in Katherine Road, Forest Gate, where a pedestrian appeared to have been hit by a car.
A 47-year-old man suffered minor injuries in the incident, which are not life-changing or life-threatening.
The car stopped at the scene, and the driver has been helping police with their enquiries, which are ongoing.”

- The driver is cooperating with officers, but police are still investigating.
