Police Appeal for Information Following Retail Park Robbery
Detectives investigating a robbery at a store in Broadstairs Retail Park have released CCTV images of a man they wish to identify in connection with the incident.
The robbery took place shortly before 7pm on Friday, 21 February 2025 when two men entered the store and carried out a planned theft involving high-value items.
How the Incident Unfolded
According to police reports:
- One of the suspects approached a staff member and requested items, which were placed behind the counter.
- The man then typed a series of threatening messages on his phone and showed them to the employee, demanding the goods.
- A second suspect then stepped in, grabbed the stolen items—including iPhones and headphones—before both men fled the scene.
The staff member was not physically harmed during the incident, but authorities are treating the case as a serious robbery.
Police Release CCTV in Effort to Identify Suspect
As part of ongoing enquiries, Kent Police have released CCTV images of an individual they believe may have information relevant to the investigation.
A spokesperson for Kent Police urged the public to assist:
“We are keen to speak with the person in the CCTV image as they may be able to help with our enquiries. If you were in the area at the time or have any information, please contact us immediately.”
