A teenager has been charged following an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts and a burglary across the Ashford area in January.
Kent Police launched an inquiry after six vehicles, including a digger, were reported stolen from various locations in the district between January 1 and January 25, 2025.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Following police investigations, 18-year-old Miley Wall, of Hampstead Lane, Maidstone, was arrested on Wednesday, February 5. He has now been charged with multiple offences, including:
- Vehicle theft in connection with the stolen cars and digger.
- Burglary at a property in Ashford on January 14, where cash, jewellery, and a designer watch were reported stolen.
Court Appearance and Next Hearing
Wall appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 6, where he was remanded into custody.
His case has been transferred to Canterbury Crown Court, where he is scheduled to appear on Monday, March 10.
Ongoing Investigations
Kent Police officers continue to investigate vehicle thefts in the area and are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
A police spokesperson said:

Residents in Ashford are also being advised to remain vigilant and take precautions to secure their vehicles and properties as police efforts to combat vehicle crime continue.
