Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident in Swindon yesterday afternoon (30 January 2025), in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that later failed to stop.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:35pm at the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road. The vehicle involved was a green Vauxhall ADAM GLAM, which had been stolen overnight from the Old Town area of Swindon. Officers later located the stolen car near the scene of the collision.
The two male occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot, heading in the direction of Hornbeam Court. Descriptions of the suspects are as follows: one man was wearing blue jeans and a white top, while the other was dressed entirely in black. One of the suspects had a beard, and the other was wearing a hat.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to Great Western Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are urging residents in the area to check any Ring doorbell footage that may show the suspects or the stolen vehicle, as this could assist with their ongoing investigation.
Anyone with further information about the incident is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting log 214 of 30 January.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are working to locate the suspects involved in this incident.
