A suspected drug dealer has been charged following a dramatic police pursuit along the M2 motorway and surrounding roads.
Incident Overview
On the evening of Monday, 20 January 2025, officers on patrol on the coastbound carriageway of the M2 noticed a Ford Mustang GT that appeared to be uninsured. When officers activated their blue lights, the driver reportedly refused to stop and continued driving, leaving the motorway at Junction 5 before returning on the Londonbound carriageway.
The pursuit escalated as the vehicle sped onto the A2 and eventually the A282 Dartford Crossing, where police patrols successfully brought it to a halt.
Search and Arrest
The driver was arrested at the scene. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and approximately £135 in cash.
Charges and Court Appearance
On Tuesday, 21 January, Miran Mirlshari, 33, from South Tottenham, London, was charged with:
- Possession with intent to supply a Class A drug
- Failing to stop when directed by a constable
- Three additional driving offences
Mr. Mirlshari appeared before magistrates the following day and has been remanded in custody. He is set to appear in Crown Court at a later date.
