The family of Zoe Crowther, a 51-year-old mother and grandmother, has paid heartfelt tributes to her after she was found stabbed in a flat in Church, near Accrington, Lancashire.
Police discovered Ms. Crowther in a ground-floor home on Walmsley Close at around 12:25 GMT on Tuesday. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrest and Charges
Janet Connor, 52, also of Walmsley Close, has been charged with Ms. Crowther’s murder. She appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court and has been remanded in custody. She is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday.
Family Statement
Ms. Crowther’s family described her as a “kind-hearted, loving, and selfless woman” and shared their heartbreak in a public statement:
“She will forever be missed. As a family, we are heartbroken at this time.”
Police Appeal
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Fallows of Lancashire Police expressed his condolences and confirmed the ongoing investigation:
“First and foremost, my thoughts remain with Zoe’s loved ones at what is an incredibly distressing time for them.
“Although we have charged a woman with murder, our investigation is still very much ongoing. We are continuing to appeal for any information or footage that could assist our enquiries.”

Police have urged anyone with information about the incident or any relevant footage to come forward to assist with their inquiries.
