Rod Stewart and Sting Lead Star-Studded Lineup for California Wildfire Relief Concert

Music legends Sir Rod Stewart and Sting are among the international stars set to perform at a special charity concert, FireAid, to raise funds for wildfire relief efforts in California.

The “one night only” event will take place on January 30 at the Intuit Dome and the adjacent Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The concert will also be broadcast and live-streamed globally across platforms such as Apple Music, Netflix, Prime Video, and Paramount+.

Star-Studded FireAid Lineup

The highly anticipated lineup features a mix of global superstars and iconic artists, including:

  • Sir Rod Stewart
  • Sting
  • Billie Eilish (performing with her brother, Finneas O’Connell)
  • Stevie Nicks
  • Joni Mitchell
  • Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham
  • Gwen Stefani
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Lady Gaga
  • Katy Perry
  • Pink
  • Green Day
  • Earth, Wind & Fire
  • Lil Baby
  • Tate McRae
  • Dave Matthews and John Mayer (performing live together for the first time)

Organizers have promised more big-name announcements in the coming days.

Sir Rod Stewart Returns to LA Stage

Sir Rod Stewart, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday, is set to make a triumphant return to the Los Angeles stage. Having recently moved back to the UK after living in LA for over 30 years, this performance will mark a poignant homecoming for the music legend.

Purpose of FireAid

The concert will raise money to support communities devastated by wildfires across Southern California. Funds will go towards rebuilding efforts and preventative measures to minimize the impact of future fires.

How to Watch FireAid

  • Date: January 30, 2025
  • Tickets: Available from January 22 via Ticketmaster.
  • Broadcast/Streaming: Apple Music, Netflix, Paramount+, Prime Video, and the Apple TV app.

Taylor Swift and Other Celebrities Speak Out

Pop icon Taylor Swift recently called the California wildfires “heartbreaking” and highlighted organizations she has supported, such as the California Community Foundation Fund and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Beyoncé have also contributed to relief efforts, with Beyoncé’s BeyGood foundation donating $2.5 million.

Wildfires’ Ongoing Impact

The devastating wildfires have left a lasting impact on families and celebrities alike, with stars such as Paris Hilton and Mel Gibson among those who lost their homes. The destruction has even delayed key events, including the Oscars nominations, now rescheduled for January 23.

Author Stephen King is among those advocating for a scaled-down approach to the awards season, writing: “No glitz with Los Angeles on fire.”

FireAid promises to be a historic evening, uniting music’s biggest stars to support a vital cause and bring hope to the affected communities. Stay tuned for more updates on this landmark event.
