Motorists are being warned to expect significant delays after a serious collision led to the closure of the A14 westbound in Cambridgeshire between Junction 22 (Brampton Interchange) and Junction 13 (Thrapston).
Emergency services, including Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue, are at the scene. Authorities have indicated that the closure will remain in place for several hours to allow for police investigations.
Diversion Route
Drivers are advised to follow the diversion marked with a hollow circle symbol on local road signs:
- From J11 of the A14, join the A1(M) northbound.
- Continue on the A1(M) to J17.
- Exit at J17 and take the first exit at the roundabout onto the A605.
- Follow the A605 to J13 of the A14.
- At the roundabout, take the third exit to rejoin the A14 westbound.
