Body of Woman Found in Woolwich Flat: Police Investigation Underway

A woman’s body has been discovered in a flat in Woolwich, prompting an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

Emergency services were called to St Domingo House on Leda Road, SE18, at approximately 12pm on Tuesday, November 19, after concerns were raised about the safety of an individual at the address.

Upon arrival, officers found the body of a woman inside the property. The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.

A 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated:
“Police were called to reports of concern over a person’s safety at an address in Woolwich, south-east London, at around 12:03hrs on Tuesday, 19 November. Officers attended the scene at St Domingo House, Leda Road, SE18, where they found the body of a female. A 49-year-old man has been arrested as part of the investigation and released on bail. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and contact them. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected in due course.
