A suspected drug dealer has been charged following his arrest in Tunbridge Wells as part of an ongoing crackdown on drugs-related crime in West Kent.
On Sunday, 17 November 2024, officers on proactive patrols in London Road, Southborough, identified a vehicle suspected of being involved in drug supply. The car was followed into Holden Park Road, where it stopped, and the driver was detained.
A subsequent search uncovered 18 bags of white powder believed to be cocaine, a quantity of cash, and a mobile phone.
Charges Filed
The suspect, Emilijano Celaj, 27, of Broad Street in Dagenham, Essex, has been charged with:
- Possession with intent to supply cocaine
- Driving without a licence
- Driving without insurance
Celaj appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 19 November, and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled for a further hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 16 December.
