Essex Police are continuing to appeal for information in their efforts to locate Philip Abbott, 45, who has been missing from the Basildon area since Friday, November 15.
Last Confirmed Sighting
Philip was last seen near Basildon Hospital at around 9:10pm on Friday evening. There has also been an unconfirmed sighting in the Repton Close area on Saturday, November 16.
Philip is believed to be on foot, and officers are urging the public to assist in locating him.
Description
Philip is described as:
- Age: 45
- Height: Approximately 5ft 11in
- Hair: Short black/grey
- Other: Wears black-rimmed glasses
He was last seen wearing:
- A black hoodie
- Black joggers
- White trainers with blue and pink patterns
Police Efforts
Superintendent Leigh Norris said:
“We’re growing increasingly concerned for Philip’s welfare, and I have a team of officers dedicated to pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to find him.”
She continued:
“We’re specifically appealing to taxi and delivery drivers who were in the area around Basildon Hospital and Repton Close over the weekend to think back to whether they might have seen someone matching Philip’s description.
Areas of Focus
Philip has connections to Dagenham and Chelmsford, and officers are extending their inquiries to these areas as well.

“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could prove pivotal for our investigation,” added Superintendent Norris.
