The ongoing crackdown on county line drug operations in Medway led to a significant seizure of cocaine and the arrest of three men in Chatham. On Monday, November 11, officers executing a targeted search warrant at a property near Magpie Hall Road discovered seven self-sealed bags of cocaine, a lock-knife, and a mobile phone suspected of being used for drug dealing. Two men were detained at the scene.
Simultaneously, a second warrant was carried out at a nearby address on New Road, resulting in the seizure of additional cocaine and the arrest of a third suspect.
The men, identified as Mark Diss, 42, of East Street, Chatham; Ionut Calin, 29, and Gabriel Calin, 23, both of Melbourne Road, Chatham, have been formally charged with involvement in the supply of cocaine. All three appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 13, where they were conditionally bailed. They are scheduled to reappear for a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on December 9.
The operation reflects a broader initiative by law enforcement to disrupt the distribution of class A drugs in the area, as county line networks continue to be a focus for local authorities.
