Two lanes of the Dartford Crossing were closed this evening following a multi-vehicle crash on the A282 northbound. Lanes four and five were shut between Junctions 1B and 1A near Dartford, starting around 6:40 p.m. on November 11.
The incident, which occurred on the M25 anticlockwise near the Dartford Tunnels, has caused significant congestion, with traffic delays of up to 45 minutes stretching back to Junction 3 at the Darenth Interchange.
National Highways reported that several vehicles were involved in the crash. Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time due to the lane closures and heavy congestion. Kent Police have been contacted for further details.
