The RNLI Walmer Lifeboat Station took delivery of a new Bobcat launch and recovery vehicle yesterday morning, bringing enhanced capabilities and comfort to its lifesaving operations. The new vehicle, equipped with modern features including an air freshener and cup holder, will be used to launch and recover lifeboats during rescue operations along the coast.
In the coming weeks, all RNLI tractor drivers at Walmer will undergo training to familiarize themselves with the new and improved controls unique to this model, which differs from the equipment already used on the coast.
The RNLI Walmer Lifeboat Station expressed excitement over the new addition, noting the vehicle’s updated features and functionality will further support their dedicated team in keeping the local coastline safe.
